The Theory of Different Wavelengths for Pain Relief

635 nm:

At this wavelength, laser energy is predominantly absorbed by hemoglobin, making it highly effective as a coagulant and for reducing edema. Additionally, 635 nm is optimally absorbed by skin melanin, ensuring efficient energy delivery to superficial tissue layers. This enhances its anti-edematous effect and makes it ideal for promoting tissue regeneration, wound healing, and rapid cicatrization.

810 nm:

This wavelength exhibits minimal absorption by hemoglobin and water, allowing for deep penetration into tissues. However, it is close to the peak absorption spectrum of melanin, making its efficacy somewhat dependent on skin pigmentation. The 810 nm wavelength enhances enzyme activity, stimulating intracellular ATP production. It also accelerates the oxidative process of hemoglobin, improving oxygen and energy delivery to muscles and tendons, thereby supporting tissue regeneration.

910 nm:

Along with 810 nm, 910 nm offers excellent tissue penetration depth. Its high peak power enables direct treatment of deep-seated symptoms. This wavelength increases cellular oxygen availability through tissue absorption, stimulating intracellular ATP synthesis and promoting natural regenerative and healing processes. Available in pulsed and superpulsed modes—with high peak power and short pulse durations (hundreds of nanoseconds)—910 nm delivers exceptional depth efficiency with minimal thermal impact and strong analgesic effects. By restoring cellular membrane potential, it helps break the pathological cycle of muscle contracture, vasoconstriction, and pain, effectively reducing inflammation. Experimental evidence confirms its biological regenerative potential and trophic-stimulating effects.

980 nm:

This wavelength is strongly absorbed by water, resulting in significant thermal effects at equivalent power settings. A large portion of the energy is converted into heat within tissues, increasing local temperature and stimulating microcirculation, thereby enhancing oxygen and nutrient delivery to cells. The 980 nm wavelength also interacts with the peripheral nervous system, activating the Gate-Control mechanism to produce a rapid analgesic effect.

1064 nm:

Like 980 nm, 1064 nm is highly absorbed by water, producing pronounced thermal effects. However, it lies far from the peak melanin absorption range, making it less sensitive to variations in skin tone. Its high water absorption leads to efficient heat conversion in tissues. Due to its excellent directionality, this wavelength delivers precise energy dosing to targeted areas, providing rapid pain relief, effective control of inflammation, and deep stimulation of cellular metabolic activity.
